Design Shop Interiors has quickly grown into one of the premier, full-service interior design firms located in Northern California. While based in Sacramento, our portfolio of work spans the entire West Coast (and yes, we work out-of-state).

Known, for our bright, fresh, collected interiors, we specialize in design & architectural finish selections for large scale remodels & new home construction; including furnishings & home décor. We work hand-in-hand with our clients, architects & builders from initial concept to full design implementation.

In 2019, we opened our first brick & mortar storefront, The Shop by Design Shop. The Shop features a curated collection of custom upholstery, home furnishings, textiles and accessories; all the beautiful things our projects are known for.

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Whether building a new home, adding on or renovating your existing home, our Interior Architecture Team is here to support you; from initial plan conceptualization, through completion.

We work in partnership with builders, architects and landscape architects to ensure the highest results in design, beauty and functionality. We can integrate seamlessly with your builder and/or architect or make recommendations for a successful team. Our systems are designed to not only leave you with the home of your dreams, but allow your builder to execute the design vision we’ve created together.

Furnishings & Decor

Whether one room or the entire house, a new house or one you’ve called home for years, our Furnishings & Decor team are here to help. We’ll lead you through the process of selecting just the right furnishings for your lifestyle and home. We believe furniture is an investment and should be treated as such.

We’re here to help navigate you through endless options, create just the right seating & floor plans, source and select just the right pieces and turn your house into a home.

DSI specializes in the design & execution of large scale furnishing projects and in select cases, one room at a time. We can design a whole house at once or phase things in a thoughtful way to align with your budget.

DSI operates as a furniture retailer and the majority of furnishings you see in our projects are purchased directly through us. We’ve spent years developing partnerships with a curated selection of manufacturers that align with our quality and customer service expectations.

A Curated Selection of FURNISHINGS & DECOR

Junior Design Program

Interior Design for smaller scale projects that may not meet the traditional project minimums for our senior level interior designers. Our Junior Designers work under the direction & supervision of our senior design team. They are DSI trained and live up to the very high design expectations that DSI is known for.

Junior Design Services are perfect for those looking for more of a ‘make-over’ than a ‘start-over’. During our introductory call, we’ll discuss your individual project needs to determine if you are a candidate for our Junior Design Services.

In Home Styling

Our styling services are provided through our retail storefront, The Shop by Design Shop. This service is perfect for our clients who may not necessarily fit into one of the categories above.

Have you already renovated and furnished your home, but you are looking to ‘pull it all together’? Maybe your budget doesn’t allow for a large scale project and you want to ‘refresh’ what you already have with fresh pillows and accessories? Do you love everything in The Shop and you need a little help curating a beautiful look in your home?

A talented Shop Stylist will work with you to create a scope of work and accessories package to complete your look. We’ll show up at your home with a car full of treasures to style your home for you. Let us bring The Shop to you!
