Located amidst a Lake Tahoe meadow, this reimagined A-frame retreat was designed for gathering. The homeowners wanted a home that could comfortably accommodate large family visits, leading to an expanded kitchen and built-in dining nook that maximize space for shared meals and connection. Because the home serves as a secondary residence, the design embraces a more playful, adventurous approach while still prioritizing the comfort and functionality needed for hosting family and friends.
Original beams and ceiling treatments were preserved throughout, maintaining the home’s distinctive A-frame character. Inspired by Tahoe’s mountain landscape, the interiors layer deep green tones, rich wood finishes, dark bronze accents, and natural materials to create a warm, moody atmosphere that balances modern and rustic design.
