Design Shop Interiors (DSI) is looking for a seasoned furniture sales associate to join our retail team at The Shop.

Founded in 2013, Design Shop Interiors has been at the forefront of creating stunning residential interiors that turn houses into dream homes. With a deep commitment to impeccable design and unparalleled customer service, we’ve earned our reputation as a trusted name in interior design.

In 2019, we expanded our horizons by opening “The Shop,” a unique brick-and-mortar home décor store that has since become Sacramento’s premier destination for all things home. From custom upholstery to vintage treasures, home furnishings, exquisite lighting, textiles, and more, we’ve curated a collection that reflects our passion for design and style.

Today, Design Shop Interiors continues to excel in residential interior design while proudly offering our carefully selected products at The Shop. Whether it’s transforming living spaces or helping our customers find that perfect piece to elevate their homes, we’re here to make every space beautiful and inviting.

About the Job:

Title: Retail Sales Associate

Hours: Approximately 35-40 hours per week (full time)

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (closed Sunday & Monday) (Saturday is required)

Salary: Starts at $20 per hour based on experience

Benefits: Medical and dental plans, plus an employee discount.

Location: Granite Bay, CA

Responsibilities & Duties:

Create a welcoming and hospitable environment that ensures an exceptional shopping experience for our valued customers.
Furniture Sales! This is a sales based position that requires previous experience in furniture sales and case goods.
Utilize your knowledge of furniture and home décor to assist customers in selecting and customizing products, ensuring their satisfaction and boosting sales.
Collaborate with management to efficiently handle daily operations at The Shop.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of our extensive product catalog.

Skills & Requirements:

A track record of success in retail sales, particularly in the furniture or home furnishings industry – furniture knowledge and sales experience is a must!

Exceptional interpersonal skills, top-notch communication, and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Meticulous attention to detail and impeccable organizational abilities.
Basic computer skills, with experience using Mac systems. Familiarity with Shopify is a bonus.

Prior experience in home furnishings or retail sales.
