Meet Our Client

Betsy and her family live in the cutest home on an Almond Farm in Arbuckle. She originally found us on instagram and reached out to have us furnish their newly renovated space. Betsy had sent us a few photos so we knew what great taste she had and we couldn’t wait to get our hands on her lovely country home.

Although Whitney had seen photos of her beautiful home, she was still a little skeptical as to what she and Ashlee might find all the way out in Arbuckle as it’s a bit more remote than they were used to. However, as soon as they drove up the almond orchard lined driveway and were greeted with Betsy’s warm smile, they knew this job would be special.

Betsy is the sweetest human on planet earth. She has great taste and style and is a pure joy to work with.

The Design Process

Lead Designer: Whitney

Betsy had a clear vision of the direction she wanted to take her space, she just needed a little help along the way. She had already purchased a beautiful white sofa that fit the space really well. It is VERY rare that we are happy with a furniture choice the client has made on their own.

We wanted to choose timeless pieces that felt true to her house and lifestyle, think traditional but still fresh and new.

Whitney also wanted her to paint her walls a neutral color (they were kind of yellow before) so that the textiles and art we chose would really pop. One of the biggest challenges was getting her to agree to painting her built-ins white. She wanted to but was a tiny bit reluctant to pull the trigger. In the end she listened to Whitney and the results were stunning!!

Whitney’s favorite element in the home, “My favorite element of the home is the room off of the family room that functions as an office space as well as a lounge area for her kids and their buddies. We took the walls a deep Navy and hung a beautiful beaded chandelier. Even though the space is small, the dark walls don’t make it look closed in. It has pretty white shutters and trim and compliments the family room perfectly. It’s truly a wow moment.

At the end of February I will be installing Maggie’s super cute room and I cannot wait to show everyone how it turns out. Hopefully this wont be my last project on this amazing home and if I know Betsy I don’t think it will. I like to joke with her that she will never get rid of me.”
